Portsmouth to Bilbao

Portsmouth Harbour was stop 1. 133 miles from Deal and a cautious 5 hour ride along the south coast with two up and two weeks of luggage. (too much). No motorways, a rest stop half way then on to the boat.

This is the view  dawn somewhere in the Bay of Biscay a few hours from land after 2 nights on the Galicia ferry. (Day minus 2 was a ride along the south coast from Deal in Kent to Portsmouth). Shots from all stops below.

Hotel was fine - a cosy cabin on the Galicia with a window and ensuite bathroom. Food was 'all-you-can-eat' breakfast, lunch & dinner in the CClub lounge (Homer Simpson stylee). Best sights were the dolphins, sunrise and sunset. The onboard cinema was showing 'A complete Unknown' while a cabaret singer belted out karaoke favourites a few yards away.
